Rabbi Shmuel Waldman has an extensive career in religious education. As a teenager, he began listening to Rabbi Avigdor Miller's cassette messages and encouraged others to do the same. Additionally, he was close to Rabbi Don Segal shlit"a, the previous mashgich of Mirrer Yeshiva.
He studied at the Kollel of the Mirrer Yeshiva for four years before joining Yeshiva Mercaz Hatorah of Belle Harbor. Having served as Mashgiach of the Kollel for two years, he was asked to serve as Mashgiach of the High School. His duties as Mashgiach included delivering weekly Torah lectures to High School boys. He also had one-on-one discussions with them to encourage them to achieve greater spiritual heights. A book was conceived as a result of his excellent lectures.
